Strategic Intensives
A focused, high-impact engagement for leaders and organizations who need clarity before taking the next step.
When everything feels urgent, it’s hard to know where to begin. A Strategic Intensive is a contained, thoughtful working engagement designed to help you step out of overwhelm, get oriented, and make grounded decisions about what actually needs attention next.
Strategic Intensives are offered for individual leaders as well as organization- or business-wide contexts where clarity is needed across roles, teams, or stakeholders. This is a deliberate pause to think clearly, with support.

Who This Is For
A Strategic Intensive is a good fit if you:
-
Are carrying a decision alone and need space to think clearly
-
Are leading a team or organization and sensing misalignment or strain
-
Feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to focus
-
Are facing a transition, inflection point, or period of change
-
Want clarity before committing to a larger project or ongoing support
Clients often use this as:
-
A reset point
-
A decision-making container
-
A way to get unstuck without overcommitting
What We Focus On
Every Strategic Intensive is tailored, but common focus areas include:
-
Clarifying priorities when everything feels important
-
Identifying what’s truly strategic vs. what’s a capacity issue
-
Untangling roles, expectations, or decision bottlenecks
-
Naming patterns that keep repeating under pressure
-
Exploring what’s sustainable, not just possible
-
Determining whether deeper consulting support makes sense
This work is especially valuable for people and teams who have been holding too much alone.
How the Strategic Intensive Works

Preparation
Before we meet, you’ll complete a short set of reflection questions. This helps us use our time well and ensures the conversation is grounded in what’s actually happening, not just what feels loudest or most urgent.

After the Session
I compile a report synthesizing my findings. You’ll leave with:
-
Clear priorities
-
A grounded sense of next steps
-
Language to describe what’s happening
-
Synthesis of key themes and recommendations (for organization-wide intensives)
-
Greater confidence about what to do next
Some people take this clarity forward on their own. Others decide to continue with ongoing consulting. Both outcomes are welcome.

The Session(s)
We meet for a 90-minute focused working session (via Zoom or in person if near Pasadena, California).
This is an active, collaborative conversation. I listen carefully, ask clarifying questions, reflect patterns I notice, and help slow things down enough to see clearly. The goal is to identify what matters most now.
For organizations or businesses, the Strategic Intensive may include input gathered from key stakeholders. This can involve:
-
Brief written reflections or interviews
-
Perspectives from leadership, staff, or collaborators
-
Attention to both strategic goals and on-the-ground realities
Who Uses Strategic Intensives
I offer Strategic Intensives for:
-
Nonprofit leaders navigating growth, transition, or capacity strain
-
Small business owners and founders clarifying direction or structure
-
Therapists considering private practice or reassessing an existing one
Why Start Here
Many people seek support because they feel pressure to do something quickly. The Strategic Intensive offers an alternative:
-
Space to think
-
Support without long-term commitment
-
Clarity without overwhelm
It’s often the most respectful place to begin.
